Delivery

By Road:

ArcelorMittal Kent Wire benefits from excellent road links, situated directly on the A289 duel carriageway it is approximately 5 miles away from junction 1 of the M2 to London and a further 10 miles from the M25 London Orbital.

By Rail:

ArcelorMittal Kent Wire has the ability to transport cargos directly by rail from its location in Chatham Docks. This option not only saves vast amounts of time but with lorries limited to 44 tonnes it also increases the capacity of shipments and keeps large volumes of traffic off of the roads.

By Sea

AMKW also has the option to export its product overseas through the use of its quayside. This facility has been used to export to countries such as Ireland and Norway in the past and is now being used by third parties through the company's Total Ship Services operations.

Safe Un-Loading of material

As active members of the British Association of Reinforcement, ArcelorMittal Kent Wire were very active in the production of the safe un-loading of both fabric and cut & bent products. AMKW and AMCS ensures that all their loads comply with these recommendations and fully endorses these methods.

Shipping Berths

At ArcelorMittal Kent Wire, through our subsidiary "Total Ship Services," we offer specialised vessel loading and unloading services. Our facilities can accommodate vessels up to 143 metres in length and 18 metres in width, with a draft of up to 8 metres. In addition to off-loading steel coil for our manufacturing processes, we are equipped to handle a variety of other cargoes for third-party clients.

Our operations are supported by a fleet of modern mechanical handling equipment, including a 26-tonne capacity port crane and access to 60-tonne lifting gear. This enables us to efficiently manage a diverse range of cargoes, from small loose aggregates to substantial single lifts.

Our operational area spans three berths, situated in a secure, patrolled environment. The constant water level at these berths aids in maintaining a consistent and smooth operational flow, ensuring reliability and efficiency in our services.

Storage

ArcelorMittal Kent Wire boasts an expansive 25-acre dockside facility, conveniently situated adjacent to its three berths. This area includes options for both external and enclosed storage, catering to a diverse range of material types.

The total warehouse capacity is approximately 15,000 square metres, offering ample space for efficient and secure storage solutions.
